The Recipe


Ingredients


2 ribeye steaks (1–1.5 inches thick)

2 tbsp olive oil

4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided

3–4 garlic cloves, finely minced

2–3 fresh rosemary sprigs

Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions


  1. Set the mood & prep your ingredients.

    Light a candle, play something soft. Take the ribeyes out of the fridge and let them rest on the counter for about 30 minutes. This step is important, it allows the meat to cook evenly and absorb flavor beautifully.


  2. Season with intention.

    Pat the steaks dry and season both sides generously with sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Let the salt melt into the marbling—it’s already becoming something special.


  3. Sear with confidence.

    Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and wait for it to shimmer. Lay the steaks down and sear undisturbed for 3–4 minutes until a rich crust forms. Flip and repeat.


  4. Add the aromatics.

    Lower the heat to medium. Add 2 tbsp of butter to the pan, followed by the minced garlic and rosemary. Let the butter melt and the garlic bloom.


  5. Baste with love.

    Tilt the pan and spoon the melted garlic butter over the steaks for 1–2 minutes. This step locks in flavor and gives the meat that irresistible, buttery finish.


  6. Let it rest.

    Remove the steaks from the pan and rest for 5–7 minutes before serving. This is non-negotiable—the juices need time to settle.


  7. Finish with a final touch.

    Top each steak with a pat of the remaining butter just before serving. Serve warm.
